(1) Who am I?
A prostitute and a single mom. Her husband has gone, and she is living with her only son. The family is in poverty so she decides to be a prostitute, who is a night woman earning money to support her son. When her husband is gone, she leaves all of her hope to the future on this kid and extremely loves her son. At night, she makes up and tells her son that she is waiting for the angel who will bring his father's ghost, but ghosts are customers. To be a prostitute, she believes that it is enough to provide a good life for her son. Also, she knows that her son will gradually realize the truth behind.
(2) What time is It?
Exact dates mentioned in the story are, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, for two customers respectively.
(3)Where am I?
Many prostitutes stay in the Ville Rose where ghost women ride the crests of waves. She lives in a small house with her son.
(4)What surrounds me?
Obviously, the society doesn't accept women to work sophisticated or common jobs. A family requires the man to support a big proportion of income. Day women are able to serve as pieceworkers, while night women work on the sex trade. People are friendly, at least there are no negative descriptions to night women from the public. Customers have the patience to have a talk about their experiences or backgrounds and treat her well.
(5)What are the given circumstances?
It can be confirmed that mom and son have missed the father for a long time. Either die or leave, the narrator feeds themselves. Son is young, but he is almost at the age of realizing the sexual theories and things, which prove that he is almost going to the middle school. The Narrator has heard of a song from her son taught from his public school. To be a pieceworker or a prostitute, she recognizes that a prostitute is able to earn more money and get more free time. One of the customers implies his background.
(6)What is my relationship?
Being a prostitute with an only child, she would probably not expose herself to majorities in the place they live. It is a shame that her son is told by others about her occupation and she is not able to be a prostitute if her son knows it. In Ville Rose, she finds the perception of affiliation at there with women who have the same job as she and she has the sympathy to ghost women. She extremely loves her son, which can be founded by many exceeded physical descriptions: smallest finger caresses, lean my face against his lips. She mentions the busy pieceworkers who have a strong contrast with her situation.
(7) What do I want?
The life he wants eventually is a strong and healthy son. She considers herself as a temporary tool of making money. The only thought she has is affording his tuition. Also, she desires the freedom from being a prostitute, compared to pieceworkers.
(8) What is in my way?
Age of his son becomes an obstacle. Even though she has prepared a series of claims to treat her son, her son will gradually realize the truth. Moreover, she does care about her son's vision to her job yet her prior goal is making more money for this family.
(9) What do I do to get what I want?
Making up a scene of meeting with angels and the father becomes a cardiotonic mentally for her son. Being a prostitute is the best choice for her, since there is enough time to take care of her son during the day time and it will make more money than any of women's job.
