My First Blogggggg(Lit & Perf)

Through the presentations in this week, I learned a lot of techniques and theories from my classmates' presentations. To be honest, I liked most of them. Moreover, there are several parts in the presentation. In the beginning, a majority of students would like to add a page to introduce the career or main events of the director or actor they chose. At this part, I like the Uta Hagen by David D the most, since he divided the main events in a time order and introduced some activities in her life briefly, which brought me into the topic rapidly. Before I started to do this presentation, I assumed that choosing an activity or a video would not cause a big diversity which means the majority of people would choose either video or activity, but the choices are balanced. I saw a lot of interesting activities and a lot of practical videos. Cassidy's activity attracted me, she decided to combine the video and game together in order to guide us to understand the meaning of the activity....

The scene which Yun and I chose was the conversation between Jim and Tom when they are talking about the life in the warehouse and exchanging their ideas in different types of thing that they are interested in. One of the reason that why I am attracted by this scene is the changing of the people that leads the story goes. Jim talks to Tom a lot of how are they suffered from the job in the warehouse, and he is persuading Tom to leave there by his experience on the course of public speaking. This course is really helpful to Jim, as I see in these lines, Jim is always leading the flow and atmosphere when he is proving his ideas. However, Tom changes it when he supports his ideas on the movie. In this case, Tom relies on his tone of speaking, body movements to catch the eyes of the audience and Jim. The character I will play is Tom since he is a cool man in the home. Sometimes he is a quiet and cool man while he becomes angry when he argues with his mom. I conclude that he is an emotio...

I would like to explore the role of Laura playing in the family since her relationships with Tom and Amanda are subtle. She doesn't against her mom's idea directly or distinctly, but she is still following her own idea as she goes to the park in the daytime and pretends at home. When Tom is arguing with mom, she mostly chooses to keep calm. Obviously, she is a vulnerable person, she is easily influenced by surroundings. Jim appears and touches Laura's heart that someone is closely opening her heart. I want to find out what effects her to be the person like that.
