An old silent pond... A frog jumps into the pond, splash! Silence again. Autumn moonlight— a worm digs silently into the chestnut. Both of them have made layers, which are usually representing the whole scene and a specific description of the person in the second line, and the third line is completely existing as a concluding sentence. It helps me to understand the meaning of the poem. Also, a changing of the vision interests me when I read it. Both of them are relating to nature, which produces a sense of art. It is interesting that learning about nature from artworks.

5 8 5 Samantha 4 8 5Julia Sam has a great literature analysis in the intro and the following paragraph. To analyze a scene, she breaks it the several parts and gives me a constant feeling while I am reading it. I see the layers in the paragraph, and the texts chosen are reasonable. There are some quotes impressed me because Sam even analyzed them word by word. Also, she uses correct vocabulary but she has multiple sentence structures. Julia also has a great literature analysis. Comparing to the Sam's essay, I think she focuses on the analysis to the characters better than Sam. Also, she likes to catch the quotes which are depicting body movements. Sam uses high level vocabulary as well. I learned a lot from them in literature analysis. In my draft I didn’t build the layers when I analyzed it, and I just followed with the time sequence. Even though I used different sentence structures, I still need to improve on the using of vocab.

Dreams Are Selfishness The story is named "The Glass Menagerie." It is a story talks about three family members with different ideas and dreams in an incomplete family. An ambitious young man, a conservative young girl, and a typical middle age woman are three members of the family. They keep different dreams for the future, but they are also cautious to the most significant extent to not harm each other. My group chose the scene 7 act  II , which is a scene including a supporting character. When one of the leading characters stands in front of the others, he will consider it is a time to release his pressure of preventing his dreams, and that is an exciting reason of why we chose this scene, a big contradiction always makes a great impression to everyone.  If it is a climax of how does the figure in this story express his idea, the customs and behaviors of them have prev...

Self Evalution

I gave myself a 4 on literary analysis. When I designed the paragraph of the literary analysis, I began to connect the choosing scene and the other scene together. I believe a story should have a lot of details in the beginning, and they will be reflected in the climax or in the ending. However, I didn't provide too many details on everyone's background. I began with the propose of everyone to interpret the scene I chose. I believe it is the most direct way that clarifying one's proposes and behaviors. I gave myself a 8.5 on the analysis of the performance. I tried to interpret my style of this performance with the experiences of reading lines, the information provided in the book, and the thinking of myself to the building of my character. Actually, I used two aspects to interpret the performing style of my character, which are macroscopic by the third person and microcosmic by the first person. The macroscopic was not perfect because I didn't use the first person to...
