I recognized the Spring Improv as an impromptu, topics are all arranged before but the stuff which is played by everyone on the stage coming out instant. Even though some punchlines are really great, but it is depended on the performers' accumulation and experiences in their daily lives. Moreover, this was a great show for the audience also because the process of the show is extemporaneous that audience is not able to guess or predict the next step which brings a lot of surprises to us. There are several parts of my essay are not clear or not included. My essay is not very clear and readable, so it is really necessary to work on the organization of each paragraph and revising my language. A formal MLA format for my quotes and work cited, and a good ending sentence in each paragraph to conclude the idea. Unfortunately, the language and format could help me to gain more than 10 points that everyone should do. As a view of both a performer and an audience, I think the way of touching the audiences is emotions added to the performance. There are many elements in a performance but there will be one aspect standing out from the performance which is the emotion. As an audience, I don't really care about what the poem talking about, the curiosity and satisfaction, are coming from the climax and visualization of the performance. Music and props are just decorations that make your performance thicker, for real. A person moving from this side of the bridge to the other side is always being an unnecessary part of any parts of the performance. Moreover, the sound effects or background music may confuse the audience if it is not matched with the poetry.
