What is a Theater
In my opinion, a theater is a place that provides participants a chance to be a person who they have never thought. When an actor prepares for a character, he or she needs to interpret with their own understanding. In the vision of the audience, they may see a new vision differed from their expectations. Most of the plays try to convey an emotion from their authors, while the other plays reflect a contemporary issue. Through the process of corporating with the character, actors take a lesson from the main idea.
When people watch a play, acting affects the watching experience so much. The audience pays more attention to the plots of a fiction rather than a play that they are watching. A ridiculous story can still be perfected by a great performance. People expect from a play in a theater for a story that stimulates their critical thinkings and great acting that drags them to the atmosphere. Staging is one of the key reasons why people are attracted by theaters. Audiences are overwhelmed by a big stage, fancy props, and costumes. They can hardly see the scene of many people arranged together to create a giant show. The feeling of freshness and luxury makes people consider that the show deserves a ticket. I like the theater personally because of its smoothness. The show will not stop until it finishes, and there is no cease in the progress of a play.
In my opinion, an actor should evaluate his or her character's importance in the whole play or in a certain scene. It is important that an actor realizes the expectation from audiences toward each character. Even though a supporting role does not take too much focus on stage, it can not be brighter than the main role. However, to be an impressive character, actors need to deal with the problem that expresses all the valuable characteristics of a role in limited lines and time. When I organize the theater, the fun part is stage designing, since staging needs to cover both of the requirements of a play and the vision of audiences. It is challenging that I need to design body movements to a certain character, yet I have not seen any performance or sample telling me what is the correct movements. At this time, it acquires my imagination and my comprehension of acting.
