The proposal of R & J Adaptation
Theme: Time Travel
Romeo travels the time by a machine and saves Juliet from Paris. Romeo and Juliet were strangers, Romeo finds the dead body of Juliet. He decides to save her and hook up her by time traveling and earn the self-identity of his dad to him as a robber by marrying with a noble. The adaptation scene of the original play is the last scene that Romeo goes to the tomb and fight with Paris.
The atmosphere should be intension, it has a climax in the middle of the story.
Since Romeo witnesses twice of the death of Juliet, the atmosphere may be despair.
Characters: Romeo(Robber), Juliet, Paris, Friar Lawrence(Scientist).
All characters are adults. Romeo is a protagonist, Paris is an antagonist.
Friar Lawrence is a lazy man and doesn't care about anything except Romeo.
Romeo is a robber but doing everything awkward.
Setting:
The setting has two different environments, the church which is adapted by a scientific lab and Juliet's room. The lab is small, dark, and messy. A time machine is in the corner of the lab. Juliet's room is normal, no any special decorations. Those scenes can be set at the black box.
Plots:
Capulet has engaged the wedding of Juliet and Paris while Juliet refuses. Paris comes to find the Juliet and forces her but the response of Juliet is still no. Paris takes out the dagger and Juliet have been slain. Romeo is a rookie robber, he notices that the front door of Capulet's mansion is opening when he walks by there. Paris escapes the mansion and Romeo find Juliet's dead body when he sneaks into the room. Romeo then goes to send a message to his partner in robbing who is the mad scientist Friar Lawrence. Romeo writes "Capulet's daughter Juliet has been slain" and then go to the Friar Lawrence's lab. Friar Lawrence is indifferent with the death of Juliet and shows off his brand new invention which is the time machine. Romeo wants to use this time machine to jump to the time just before Paris goes to Juliet's home. In the first time, Romeo tries to block Paris away before he enters in Juliet's bedroom. Romeo doesn't want to kill Paris, so he takes a stun gun but he loses. When Romeo is fallen on the ground, Juliet runs out of the bedroom and fend the dagger. At this moment, Romeo escape and time travel again and finally protect the Juliet then marry her.

Ending: The ending is comedic, but Romeo only wants to prove to his dad for his ability to be the son of a noble in the beginning, but the behavior of Juliet makes him sincerely love her.
Music: Firstly, there is a high-end technology existing in the plot which is a time machine, the music is needed to be electronic music that shows the style of future and technology when the scene is in the lab. In the bedroom, it is needed to be fast rhythm that stresses the audience.
